 My story

Hi I'm a 30 something female who when in my early 20s I suffered a mental break down and my anxiety became so great I found leaving the house near impossible. This therefore made it really hard to seek help particularly back then when there wasn't the online help there is now.

I eventually managed to make it to my GP who redirected me to an nhs service with a psychiatrist and a weekly councillor. I was put onto anti-depressants and having the help of my mum driving me to appointments I found talking through my worries etc to a stranger really helpful.

Don't get me wrong it was a very slow process and it wasn't easy but it was the best thing I could have done as I came out the other side and am now very happy.
